How to Write Fiction: For Beginners
A framework you can follow when writing contemporary fiction
After dabbling with writing since 2015, I began my full-time fiction-writing career in 2019. Although I’d studied essay writing, novel writing, and the business of writing, I found it impossible to learn everything from lectures, books, and class exercises. Some things you need to learn by doing. While writing half-a-dozen novels over the course of the recent Covid pandemic, I developed my own approach to writing a novel — just as you will, if that’s your goal.
I’m the author of “The Inn at Verde Springs” series, set in the visually-dramatic landscape of northern New Mexico. The first book, The Renaissance Sisters, is available through most online book retailers. The second book, Love Child, is currently available for preorder, and will be released by my publisher, Lucid House, on October 3. The third book in the series, Gifts and Revelations, will come to light in the spring of 2024.
