I think we need to appreciate from an early age that there are many different body types. As a nurse of three decades, I also recognize that obesity is unhealthy, and patients with morbid obesity often have negative outcomes. I have been both thin and not-thin. But no matter my size, being active is what counts in keeping our cardiovascular systems healthy. I do find that being not-thin makes it more difficult to exercise, but that doesn't mean I'm going to stop. I love that you said "no body type is better than another." We all deserve to be loved and supported no matter what size we are.
