The 3 Most Devastating Lessons a True Narcissist Will Try to Teach You

1. You mean nothing to me.

2. You are invisible unless I require my needs to be satisfied. Your needs are irrelevant.

3. You mean nothing to anyone.

“Lesson number three” really drives home just how cruel a narcissist can be. Intentionally cruel. But something doesn’t ring true. You don’t believe the narcissist’s lies. Your needs do matter, and your life has meaning. Many people love you already, and more beautiful souls are waiting to love you. You open your eyes and your heart, and all of that love comes rushing in.

That’s when it often clicks in for those caught in the narcissist’s web: It’s not me — it’s you. You are the one with the problem that requires professional treatment.

And I am the one who will be better off alone — but not just better off.

I will thrive, in spite of your campaign to destroy me.
