Yes, I remember you now, and your lovely wife. I remember hearing her tell the story of how you met.

I live in New Mexico now, permanently, so not sure how we could get together to talk about writing.

Here is some background, if you’re interested. I started writing health books as a nurse and had books published in 2010 and 2012. I tried freelancing but had zero luck. Then around 2016, I began taking Beargrass Writer’s Workshop courses in Missoula. I took an essay writing class from Melissa Stephenson and a fiction writing class from Robin Troy, and a freelancing class from Stephanie Land and Sarah Aswell. I wrote some standup comedy pieces for a few years and many turned several of those into humorous essays.

In 2017 I started a writer’s group in Missoula, called “Loft Writers.” We had about six regulars. That was fun, but it more or less disbanded when I moved. There are several writers groups in Missoula, though. I’d suggest joining one. I also have benefitted from entering the SixFold contests, which allow you to get tons of feedback from fellow writers. I’ve had one piece published in SixFold magazine.

I am now focusing on writing fiction, but don’t have any books published in that genre.

What do you like to write? And what are you working on?
